The ocean gives us our job, our joy and our community. In return, we try to treat it gently. At our surf school Essaouira we organise regular beach clean-ups with students, avoid single-use plastic in lessons, repair equipment instead of throwing it away and work with local partners who share the same values.
We also explain to guests how to use reef-safe sunscreen, where to put rubbish on the beach and how to respect wildlife such as birds and fish at the port. Small habits from hundreds of visitors make a big difference. We want future generations to enjoy surfing Essaouira in the same clean bay we love today.
Join one of our clean-up mornings or simply bring a reusable bottle to your lesson. Together we keep Essaouira’s bay beautiful.
